Marc Norris - Montessori Alzheimer Center

Marc Norris , Master's degree in andragogy, is a special education teacher, certified ADHD coach and practitioner of the Montessori Method adapted for people with memory disorders.

Teacher for 15 years at CÉGEP du Vieux-Montréal in special education as well as coordinator of first-year internships.

Following his retirement from teaching, he recharged his batteries in the field of social gerontology and then pursued intensive training in the Montessori method with Cameron Camp and Jérôme Erkes of AG-D.

In collaboration with a community organization in Portneuf and the Quebec provincial government's Support Committee Program, he established the Respire Project (Day Centre for Adults with Dementia). This project was aimed at seniors with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease and also at their caregivers.

The objectives and activities pursued represented the principles of the Montessori Method.

He also organised and facilitated several Memory Cafés to allow those affected to speak and express themselves on issues of emotional adjustment and their daily concerns following the diagnosis.

Currently, he offers conferences, introductory days to the method, as well as intensive training courses.
